It is highly possible that the minor cracks and the bolts snapping in the frame can be caused by the user over tightening the bolts to secure the carbon seat post in the frame.
It has been commonly known for many years for carbon seat posts to move slightly during use when inserted into a carbon frame, and users can over-tighten bolts stripping or breaking the bolts when too much force is applied.
There is a low risk or possibility for the seat post to slide downwards inside the frame, which may cause the rider to lose balance whilst riding the bicycle. This is the fourth year that the award has been given in the bicycle category and the third year that Avanti has won. In a very competitive market, maintaining customer trust is very important. At Avanti, we will always strive to bring you quality products from brands you know you can trust. Set in the Southern high country of New Zealand, there are many rivers to cross, hills to climb and a few steep descents thrown into the mix. This year, it was a cold five degrees at the start line before the start of the race. A large part of our involvement is the supply of skilled bike mechanics who provide on-course support whilst riding the 47km course throughout the day.
As always, there were a large number of competitors who expressed their gratitude to the Avanti bike mechanics at the finish area. Regan held out a fast finishing field to claim the title on his Avanti Corsa SL. This Olympic cycle we have worked closer than ever with the athletes and coaches to tirelessly test, redesign and optimise to deliver our fastest ever track bikes.
Arriving into a chilly Queenstown we picked up our Land Cruiser Prado and head to the Novatel Lakeside which was really great. It was bottom floor with doors opening onto the grass with views onto the lake. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was needed to keep us going for the day. Queenstown is clean, well set out and prepared for adventure minded people like us. All puffed out and full of burger from Devil Burger it was time for sleep.
DAY 2 Up early to be greeted by sunshine and clear skies. Parasailing is first on the list. What a great way to get our real first glimpse of Queenstown. Scott gained a bigger presence in Australasia, where it lagged behind its rivals, and added more brands to its portfolio.

If that's true, I would've thought they'd have stock at the warehouse - especially as the bike is advertised as a "gravel bike". I've now phoned three other stores and the same story - nothing in stock.
I can't fault the stores - they can't keep every part in stock I get that, but a warehouse that does not have a part for an 18 month old bike Apparently all three stores have phoned the warehouse on my behalf to confirm the part number just in case the one on the model matches - it does not.
You'd think the warehouse might offer to phone around but alas no Looks like I might try one of the bigger brands when I upgrade. Are they all this slack? Re: I think I just bought my last ever Avanti bike Post by madmacca » Thu Jun 14, am derailleurhanger. Post by AUbicycles » Thu Jun 14, am Derailleur hangers are a weird part - there are so many different forms so it is not uncommon to have to track down the right one.
Of course, for new and recent model bikes, the hangers should be more accessible. For a recent model Avanti, I would not expect such difficulty but if the bike is fairly generic - it is made overseas and badged up with Avanti stickers and the hanger used is essentially a unknown that may not be exchangeable with any other Avanti models.
Some hangers are used on various brands so many be more readily available online or using the 'alternative' part number from the other brand. Keep in mind, the hanger still has to be exactly the right one so use the damaged one as a reference to identify all of the details and confirm it is identical if you go down this route.
Post by sam » Thu Jun 14, am madmacca - thanks - they have Avanti but not the correct model - also there is an issue in that this year's model does not use the same as last year's.
I have the derailleur and will look at the pics but, as noted by AUBicycles, near enough may not be good enough. AUBicycles - thanks for the additional info. Any Avanti stockist looking in - make a name for yourself if you have part number Thanks all.
